This collection of research articles covers only a few of the many therapeutic benefits of wheatgrass and other cereal grasses. Many have been attributed to chlorophyll, but there is no evidence to support this theory.

In fact, there is no chlorophyll in the wheatgrass extract I use therapeutically. Numerous biological influences are involved in the healing process, one of which is the inhibition of pain transmission by Substance P, a ubiquitous neurotransmitter.
